Cedar Cultural Center wanted to improve navigation on their site, ideas on how to simplify, and how to make it the hub for information so they can communicate what they do and what type of shows they like to theirs.
Conducting a heuristic analysis using the Norman and Nielsen group heuristics to evaluate what might want to be focused on in conjunction with the tasks the org gave us, then we used those in our next step
Next, we created a research plan to prioritize the goals and tasks of the organizations, users, and our designers. And create a usability test script to ensure smoothness and consistency during tests then we conducted and Moderated a remote usability test on zoom, to collect raw user data and inputs.
Next, we Synthesized user data in the form of an affinity diagram as a team to conclude if our hypotheses were valid during the heuristic analysis, with this, we figured out the user's pain points, and saw what works and didn't work. And ultimately came up with recommendations to make the website, more of a website that hits the orgs goals
And finally, I made a report presentation to express what worked well and recommendations on how to improve upon it also created a quick mockup with recommendations implemented in, for visual purposes.
With all this research, I hope that it is useful to Cedar Cultural Center so that they can create a better experience for their supporters and community
The next steps would be to conduct a card sort to see what informations should be prioritized and add more to the prototype like finishing the navbar and making the ticket page.
